چکیده
Few examples of osteomas the facial bones have been documented in literature making them a rare condition. When found craniofacial skeleton, are benign, slow-growing osteogenic tumors bone that distinguished by growth compact or cancellous bone. The case report this article describes peripheral osteoma near angle mandible which was diagnosed incidentally cone beam computed tomography scan. We solitary periosteal on buccal aspect 20-year-old man and also highlight importance advanced imaging modality diagnosis bony lesions region.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT) Features Of A Rare Fibro-Osseous Lesion: A Case Report
Cone beam computed tomography is a useful technique for imaging the craniofacial lesions. It produces more realistic images that facilitate interpretation. Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is a rare and benign fibro-osseous neoplasm that arises within the craniofacial bones, especially in the maxilla. Mandibular lesions can be seen in 10% of the cases. In both jaws, it has a predilection for the...
متن کاملSolitary Peripheral Osteoma of the Angle of the Mandible
Solitary peripheral osteoma is a benign, slow-growing osteogenic tumor arising from craniofacial bones such as the sinus, temporal, or jaw bones but rarely originating from the mandible. Osteoma consists of compact or cancellous bone that may be of peripheral, central, or extraskeletal type. Peripheral osteoma arises from the periosteum and is commonly a unilateral, pedunculated mushroom-like m...

PURPOSE This study aimed to evaluate the use of dental cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in the diagnosis of osteoporosis among menopausal and postmenopausal women by using only a CBCT viewer program. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-eight menopausal and postmenopausal women who underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) examination for hip and lumbar vertebrae were scanned using CBCT (f...
متن کاملAn Uncommon Case of Solitary Peripheral Osteoma in the Mandible
Osteoma is a benign osteogenic lesion which is composed of well differentiated mature compact and/or cancellous bone that proliferates continuously. Its prevalence is 4%. Its pathogenesis is still controversial. Solitary peripheral osteoma of craniofacial region is a rare finding. We report a case of 30-year-old female having solitary peripheral osteoma present on the lingual cortex of the left...
متن کاملSolitary Plasmacytoma of the Mandible: Report of a Rare Case
Solitary bone plasmacytoma belongs to a group of lymphoproliferative clinical disorders typified by clonal proliferation of plasma cells. Solitary plasmacytoma typically involves a single bone or extramedullary site. It commonly occurs in the vertebrae or thorax, and rarely involves the mandible. The aim of this report is to present a rare case of solitary plasmacytoma of the jaws mimicking per...
